OUR PRODUCTS

Chlorine Gas

Chlorine gas { Cl2 } is supplied by Metsi Chem iKapa in two different sizes of portable containers, 70 kg chlorine cylinders and 900 – 990 kg chlorine tanks. Containers have tracking numbers, used by our office to determine the location of all cylinders delivered.
We can provide chlorine handling training as well as training to safely transport dangerous goods.
Chlorine safety audits are available and done by our Subject Matter Experts, using the guidelines is various SANS documents as well as the OHS act.

Sodium Hypo Chlorite

Sodium Hypo Chlorite { NaClO } is more commonly known as bleach. It is frequently used as a disinfectant or bleaching agent.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bleach

Calcium Hypo Chloride (HTH or Calcium hydrochloride chips)

Calcium Hypo Chlorite { Ca(ClO)2 } is widely used for water treatment and as a bleaching agent (bleaching powder). This chemical is considered to be relatively stable and has greater available chlorine than sodium Hypo Chlorite (bleach).

Chloride of Lime (for raw sewage spillages)

A white powder with the approximate formula CaOCl, obtained by treating slaked lime with chlorine and used for disinfecting and bleaching. Also called chlorinated lime

Hydrated Lime (White or Brown)

Calcium hydroxide, traditionally called slaked lime, hydrated lime, slack lime or pickling lime, is a chemical compound with the chemical formula Ca(OH)2.
It is a colourless crystal or white powder, and is obtained when calcium oxide (called lime or quicklime) is mixed, or “slaked” with water.

Un-slaked Lime (White or Brown)

Calcium oxide (CaO), commonly known as quicklime or burnt lime, is a widely used chemical compound. It is a white, caustic, alkaline crystalline solid at room temperature.

Lime stone

Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the minerals calcite and aragonite, which are different crystal forms of calcium carbonate (CaCO3). It has a wide variety of uses.

Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate)

Sodium carbonate (also known as washing soda or soda ash), Na2CO3 is a sodium salt of carbonic acid.

Caustic Soda (Sodium Hydroxide)

Sodium hydroxide (NaOH), also known as lye and caustic soda, is a caustic metallic base. It is used in many industries, mostly as a strong chemical base in the manufacture of pulp and paper, textiles, drinking water, soaps and detergents and as a drain cleaner.

Polyamines (Bulk and Drums)

A polyamine is an organic compound having two or more primary amino groups.

Ferric Chloride/ blends (Bulk and Drums)

In industrial application, iron(III) chloride is used in sewage treatment and drinking water production. IFeCl3 in water reacts with the hydroxide ion to form a floc of iron(III) hydroxide, or more precisely formulated as FeO(OH)-, that can remove suspended materials.

Alifloc (Aluminium Chloride)

The appearance of this product is a clear to slightly hazy colourless solution. Alifloc is primarily applied in the clarification of surface and waste water achieving excellent coagulation and floc characteristics.

Aluminium Sulphate (Liquid and Solid)

Aluminium sulphate is an industrial chemical used as a flocculating agent in the purification of drinking water and waste water treatment plants, and also in paper manufacturing.

Bentonite (flocculent Aid)

Bentonite is an absorbent aluminium phyllosilicate, essentially impure clay consisting mostly of montmorillonite. There are different types of bentonite, each named after the respective dominant element, such as potassium (K), sodium (Na), calcium (Ca), and aluminium (Al).

Activated Carbon (PAC and GAC)

Activated carbon, also called activated charcoal, activated coal or carbo activatus, is a form of carbon that has been processed to make it extremely porous and thus to have a very large surface area available for adsorption or chemical reactions.
PAC: Powder Activated Carbon
GAC: Granular Activated Carbon

Potassium Permanganate

Potassium permanganate is the inorganic chemical compound KMnO4, a water soluble salt consisting of equal mole amounts of potassium (K+) and permanganate (MnO4-, officially called manganate (VII) ) ions.
As a strong oxidant that does not generate toxic byproducts, KMnO4 has many niche uses.
